Following the success of Alps22, the ‘Jamboree in the mountains’ returns to Saint Crepin, France, in 2025 (11–22 August 2025 – final dates to be confirmed).

Each District is looking for Unit Leaders to take Explorers – if you are interested please contact your District Lead Volunteer directly.

As well as Unit Leaders, we need approximately 60 adults to join our event delivery team. This includes adults with adventurous activity permits for hill walking, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, and traditional rafting, as well as those who would like to earn permits in these disciplines.

It is a big team effort, so we will need many adults to join our logistics and driving teams, catering team, wellbeing, and admin and support roles. These opportunities are open to all adults in Berkshire Scouts regardless of your current role or section you volunteer with.

Registration for Explorers will open end of June once we have Unit Leaders in place.

Unit Leaders (appointed by District Lead Volunteers) should also complete this registration form.

Sign-up for Scouts & Explorer Scouts

Sign-up for Scouts (14+) and Explorer Scouts will be managed by local Scout Districts. Please contact your Explorer Leaders for further details.

Loz Marchant (Maidenhead District) has been appointed Event Lead for Alps25. Loz was a key player in the success of Alps22.
