Wargrave Cubs want a new leader in Loddon (1st Wargrave)

Our existing Cub Leader of the 1st Wargrave Tuesday Cubs (Pumas) is intending to step down as leader at Easter.  The search is therefore now on for new leaders for the Pumas and although we have had some offers of occasional parental assistance, to date we have had no luck in attracting anyone prepared to take on a uniformed role.

We have a constant need leaders for all sections in the group – but Pumas is currently a priority. Helping running a Cub Pack is a fantastic opportunity to have a real and positive influence on the young people of the village and to have a lot of fun at the same time. If you are facing the New Year with a little time on your hands and the thought of what could you do with it, then please get in touch with me as this could be a fabulous opportunity for you. Pumas meet 7.00pm to 8.30pm on Tuesday evenings during term time.

Prior scouting experience is not necessary, only energy and enthusiasm, as you will receive training and the support of parents, the Group Executive and the leadership team for the other sections. Scouting is a vibrant movement, a real fellowship and a worldwide family which would welcome you joining today. You would be joining a well experienced leadership team who will always be on hand for advice and support.  If we can get enough volunteers it might also be possible to operate the Cub Leadership on a job share basis so the commitment could be for say, every other Tuesday night during term time.
If you are interested in joining us on the big adventure please either email [email protected] or call Pete Fry on 07813 576453 or look on our website
